Woman´s Word - Letters and Testimonials from Women in History.

Juan C. Tajes Microteatro (Warmoesstraat 109 - 1012 JA, Amsterdam) opens its 2023 season next Thursday, 9th March, at 20:00 hrs. with a presentation of specially selected texts to be read on the occasion of International Women's Day, under the title "WOMAN'S WORD".

Program:

1st part –

"THE LETTER I NEVER WROTE TO YOU"

An idea, selection and original text written and directed by Carmen Toledo, which includes letters, mostly about love or heartbreak, written by women throughout History, addressed to men or women. The program consists of an extract from the text and will be read by the actress Alejandra Nettel.k

2nd part –

"TROJAN MEMORIES"

A selection of texts from the original play, written and directed by Juan Carlos Tajes related to women during the Trojan War and its environment. The fragments will be read by the actress Silvia Terribili, also the protagonist of the original play.

3rd part –

* New theatrical projects will be announced.
* Short "greet & meet" to exchange questions and comments.

Some important information:

Language - English.
Approximate duration of 1.45 to 2.00 hours (including Greet & Meet).
This programme will be presented as a "one-off" performance.
Admission is by a minimum donation of 10 euros cash per person at the entrance.
We open the doors at 19:45 hrs.
Limited capacity, only 16 places.
It’s not allowed to consume food in the space, but you can drink something if you bring it with you, discreetly, not disturbing the performance. We don’t sell drinks.
It’s not allowed to take photos or record videos during the performance. Please, enjoy a purely theatrical performance with us.

It will be a pleasure to share with you this presentation about women, although men are, of course, welcome.
